The system allows users to customize the timing for transitioning vehicle status from running to idle, to stop, and to inactive, enabling effective monitoring and management of vehicle activity. Admin/Reseller can configure this timing according to the company's requirements.
The details fetched from these configurations will alert the fleet owners of rising costs so that fleet owners can cut down costs on fuel and maintenance.
To Get Started
- Login to your account
- Go to Settings > General > Company
- Double-click on the company account for which you want to configure inactive time.
- Navigate to Rule. Click on Add New.
- A new window labeled Company Rule will open.
Configuring Vehicle Inactive Time
The system identifies a vehicle as inactive if it has not received data from the device for the specified duration, regardless of whether the ignition is on or off.
-
- Inactive Time is configured to 60 minutes as default. However, administrators have the flexibility to adjust this setting based on specific operational needs.
Configuring Vehicle Stoppage Time
A vehicle is classified as stopped when the system receives the Ignition "Off" and Speed "0" and there is no change in the latitude and longitude coordinates.
-
- Stoppage Time is configured to 1 minute by default. The admin can modify the same according to the requirement.
Configuring Vehicle Idle Time
A vehicle is classified as idle when the ignition is turned on, yet the speed remains at 0, and there is no change in the latitude and longitude coordinates.
Every driver experiences an idle condition when they arrive at stop signs or signals. In addition to fuel loss, excessive idle time can result in additional costs.
You can use the reports to figure out what's causing the idling issues and what you or the driver can do to fix them.
-
- Idle Time is set to 0 minutes by default. The admin can modify the same according to the requirement.
- Click on the Save 💾 icon.
For the above configuration:
- The system will consider the vehicle as idle immediately (0 minutes) when the idle condition is met, i.e., the ignition is on, the speed is 0, and there is no change in the latitude and longitude coordinates.
- The vehicle will be considered stopped after 1 minute if the data received with ignition off, speed 0, and there is no change in latitude and longitude.
- The vehicle will be considered inactive after 60 minutes if no data is received from the device for 60 minutes.
