Sweeper Alert

Definition / Description

The Sweeper alert is triggered when the sensor on the sweeper machine detects its operational status. This alert helps fleet managers or operators monitor the sweeper’s activity, ensuring timely awareness of machine usage and enabling preventive or corrective actions as needed.

Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)

  • Sweeper Sensor: A digital port must be configured to the Sweeper from the Sensors Connected to detect the sweeper’s status.

How to Configure

  1. Select the appropriate Company and Branch.
  2. From the Alert Type dropdown, choose Sweeper.
  3. Enter an Alert Name as per your preference.
  4. Configure the Value:ON, OFF or both.
  5. Select Based On: Object, Object Group, or Object Type, and then select the specific object(s) as applicable.
  6. Enter a description in the Text field (e.g., “Sweeper status changed”).
  7. Configure Valid Days — choose Everyday or Custom, and specify the days if custom.
  8. Set the Valid Time From / To to define when the alert is active.
  9. Select the appropriate TimeZone.
  10. Choose the Severity Level (Low / Medium / High).
  11. Select the notification method: SMS, Email, or In-App Notification.
  12. Click Save.

Use Case

A Sweeper alert is triggered when the sweeper machine is turned on or off, based on the configured setting for a specific vehicle or machine. Notifications are sent via SMS, Email, or In-App Notification, enabling fleet managers or operators to monitor sweeper operations in real time, ensure productivity, and address any operational issues promptly.

Value: 

  • On: Alert triggers when the sweeper is switched on.
  • Off: Alert triggers when the sweeper is switched off.
  • Both: Alert triggers for both on and off events.

When Based On: Object, Object Group or Object Type

  • When you select Object only a dropdown with all the objects will appear. You can select specific vehicles if you want to create the alert specifically for them. 
  • When you select Object Group, a dropdown with a list of all Object groups will appear. When you select a specific Object Group , a list of Objects present in that object group will appear below it. If you want the alert to be triggered for specific objects of that specific Object group. (e.g., Object Group and Object)
  • When you select Object Type, a dropdown with a list of all Object groups will appear. When you select a specific Object Type , a list of Objects present in that object type will appear below it. If you want the alert to be triggered for specific objects of that specific Object type. (e.g., Object type and Object)
