The Rollover Warning alert is triggered when the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) detects a potential risk of the vehicle rolling over due to sudden sharp turns, excessive tilting, or unstable driving conditions. This alert is crucial for vehicles carrying heavy loads or operating on uneven terrain, as it helps prevent accidents and ensures driver safety through early visual and audible warnings.
Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)
- Video Streaming Device or ADAS: To trigger this alert, a video streaming device or ADAS must be properly configured.
How to Configure
- Select the relevant Company and Branch.
- From the Alert Type dropdown, choose Rollover Warning.
- Enter an Alert Name as per your preference.
- Based On: Object, Object Group, or Object Type.
- Enter a descriptive Text message (e.g., “Rollover risk detected – reduce speed immediately”).
- Configure Valid Days — choose Everyday or Custom, and specify the days if custom.
- Set Valid Time From / To to define when the alert should be active.
- Select the appropriate TimeZone.
- Set the Severity Level (Low, Medium, or High) based on the criticality of the event.
- Select preferred notification methods — SMS, Email, or In-App Notification.
- Click Save to activate the alert.
Use Case
A Rollover Warning alert is triggered when the ADAS system detects excessive tilting or lateral acceleration that indicates a possible rollover condition. For example, during a sharp turn or high-speed maneuver, if the system senses instability, it sends immediate alerts via SMS, Email, or In-App Notification to both the driver and fleet manager. This helps the driver correct vehicle behavior and allows the fleet manager to review the incident, ensuring preventive measures and safe driving practices.
When Based On: Object, Object Group, or Object Type
- Object: Select individual vehicles equipped with rollover detection sensors or ADAS systems.
- Object Group: Select a group of vehicles with ADAS rollover detection capabilities; all vehicles in the group will appear for selection.
- Object Type: Select specific vehicle types (e.g., heavy-duty trucks or tankers) equipped with rollover detection sensors; all vehicles under that type will be available for selection.
