The DMS Driver ID Identification Successful alert is triggered when the Driver Monitoring System (DMS) or a video streaming device successfully recognizes or verifies the driver’s identity through facial detection or recognition. This alert helps fleet managers confirm that an authorized driver is operating the vehicle, ensuring driver accountability, compliance, and operational transparency.
Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)
- Video Streaming Device or DMS:
A DMS-enabled camera or video streaming device must be installed and properly configured on the object screen to support driver identification events.
How to Configure
- Select the relevant Company and Branch.
- Under Based On, choose on what objects you want the alert to be triggered: Object, Object Group or Object Type.
- Select the Object where the alert should be applied.
- Enter an Alert Name (e.g., “DMS Driver ID Identification Successful”).
- From the Alert Type dropdown, select Driver ID Identification Successful.
- In the Text field, enter a descriptive message (e.g., “Driver ID successfully identified by DMS system”).
- Configure Valid Day(s):
- Everyday – for all days.

- Custom – to select specific days.
- Set Valid Time From / To (e.g., 00:00 to 23:59).
- Select the appropriate Timezone.
- Choose the Severity Level — Low, Medium, or High.
- Configure the Action to be taken when the alert triggers: SMS, Email, or Notification.
- Click Save to complete configuration.
Example / Use Case
A DMS Driver ID Identification Successful alert is triggered when the installed DMS camera successfully detects and verifies the driver’s face at the beginning of a trip or during operation. This helps confirm that an authorized driver is operating the vehicle, improving safety compliance and enabling fleet managers to maintain accurate driver records.
Action: The selected notification or action must be configured (e.g., SMS, Email, or Notification).
- SMS: SMS must be configured while creating an Admin, Reseller, or Company account. After setup, you can add the contact numbers that should receive the alert notification.
- Email: Email must be configured while creating an Admin, Reseller, or Company account. You can then add email recipients to receive the alert notification via email.
- In-App Notification: You can select the notification sound and specify the users who should receive the alert notification within the platform.
When Based On: Object, Object Group, or Object Type
- Object: Select individual vehicles equipped with a DMS device for which the alert should be applied.
- Object Group: Select a group of DMS-equipped vehicles; all in the group will appear for selection.
- Object Type: Select vehicle types that support DMS-based driver identification; all vehicles under that type will be available for configuration.
