ADAS Pedestrian in Danger

 The Pedestrian in Danger Zone alert is used to notify users when the connected Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) detects a pedestrian entering or being present within a designated danger zone around the vehicle. This alert helps fleet operators monitor pedestrian-related safety events and take timely action to reduce the risk of collisions, particularly in areas with increased pedestrian activity. 

Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)

  • Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS): The selected vehicle must be equipped with a supported ADAS device or system.
  • Pedestrian Detection: The ADAS must support pedestrian detection and danger-zone monitoring.
  • Pedestrian Detection Data: The system must receive the corresponding Pedestrian in Danger Zone event from the connected ADAS device.

How to Configure

  1. Select the correct Company and Branch for whom the alert is to be configured.
  2. Based On: Choose what you want to base the alert configuration on (Object, Object Group, Object Type).
    1. Object: Select individual vehicles/objects for whom you want the alert to generate.
    2. Object Group: Select a group of vehicles/objects for whom you want the alert to generate.
    3. Object Type: Select a vehicle or object type for whom you want the alert to generate.
  3. Select the Object based on the previous step selection.
  4. Set an Alert Name for identification of the alert.
  5. Select the Alert Type as Pedestrian in Danger Zone.
  6. In the Text field, enter the message that will be displayed when the Pedestrian in Danger Zone alert is triggered.
  7. Select the Valid Day(s) as Everyday or Custom.
    1. Everyday: The alert will be triggered every day when a pedestrian is detected in the danger zone.
    2. Custom: Select the specific days on which you want this alert to be triggered.
  8. Enter the Valid Time From and To. The alert will be generated only within the selected time range.
  9. Select the required Timezone.
  10. Select the Severity of the alert (Low, Medium, or High).
  11. Under Action, select the medium through which the alert or notification should be sent (SMS, Email, Notification, Social Media API, or IVR).
    1. SMS: To receive the alert by SMS, enable the checkbox and enter the required phone numbers.
    2. Email: To receive the alert by email, enable the checkbox and enter the email recipients.
    3. Notification: To receive the alert as a system push notification, enable the checkbox and select the users who should receive it.
    4. Social Media API: To receive the alert through WhatsApp or Telegram, enable the checkbox and configure the required gateway and recipient details.
    5. IVR: To receive the alert through an automated voice call, enable the checkbox and enter the required phone numbers.
  12. Click the Save 💾 icon to save the alert configuration.

Please Note: To receive alerts through SMS, Email, Social Media API, or IVR, the respective API/gateway must be configured at the Admin, Reseller, or Company level.

Example

A vehicle equipped with ADAS and pedestrian detection approaches an area where a pedestrian is detected within the vehicle's defined danger zone. The ADAS sends a Pedestrian in Danger Zone event to the platform. The configured alert is triggered, and the selected users receive a notification, allowing the fleet operator to take timely action to improve pedestrian safety
