Send Command

The Send Command report provides a record of commands sent from the platform to connected devices/objects. It helps users monitor which command was sent, to which object, through which device type, when it was sent, whether the command was successfully processed, and the reason when a command fails. This report is useful for tracking command communication and troubleshooting unsuccessful command requests.

How to Access

Path:
Report → Log → Send Command

Filters

Use the available filters to generate the report:

Share
  • Company: Select the required company.
  • Date Selection: Select the required date or reporting period.
  • Device Type: Select the required device type.
  • Object Selection: Select one or more objects/devices.

Click Apply to generate the report.

Additional options:

  • Save Filter: Save the selected filter combination for future use.
  • Delete Filter: Delete a saved filter.
  • XLS: Export the report to Excel.
  • PDF: Export the report to PDF.

Report Information

The report displays the following information:

  • Company: Company associated with the object or device.
  • Type: Communication type used to send the command, such as GPRS.
  • Device Type: Device model/type to which the command was sent.
  • Command: Command sent to the device.
  • Schedule For: Indicates when the command was scheduled, such as Now.
  • Object: Object/vehicle associated with the command.
  • Sent Time: Date and time when the command was sent.
  • Command Status: Indicates whether the command was successful or unsuccessful.
  • Reason: Displays the reason when the command is not successfully processed.
  • Created By: User who initiated the command.

How to Read

Read the report from command details → target object → sent time → command status → reason.

  • Check Company and Object to identify where the command was sent.
  • Check Device Type to identify the connected device.
  • Check Command to understand the instruction sent to the device.
  • Check Schedule For to determine when the command was intended to execute.
  • Check Sent Time to identify when the command was sent.
  • Check Command Status to verify whether the command was successful.
  • Check Reason when the command status indicates a failure.
  • Check Created By to identify the user who initiated the command.

Take Action

  • Verify the Command Status after sending a command.
  • Review the Reason for unsuccessful commands.
  • Confirm the selected Object and Device Type when troubleshooting command failures.
  • Check the Sent Time to verify when the command was issued.
  • Review repeated failed commands to identify potential device or communication issues.

Important Notes

  • The report results depend on the selected Company, Date Selection, Device Type, and Object Selection.
  • Command Status indicates the outcome recorded for the sent command.
  • The Reason field can provide additional information when a command is unsuccessful.
  • The report can be exported in XLS and PDF formats.
