Area Measurement Report

The Area Measurement Report helps users measure and analyze the operational activity of selected vehicles over a defined date range. It provides information about the distance travelled, running, stopping, idling, working duration, working days, and area covered by each selected object.

The report also allows users to drill down into an individual object to view its day-wise activity details, including ignition time, locations, distance, running, stop and idle duration, area covered, odometer readings, and ignition-off information. This makes it useful for understanding vehicle utilization and the area covered during its operations.

Benefits

  • Monitor vehicle movement and utilization.
  • Analyze running, stopping, and idling duration.
  • Track total working duration and working days.
  • Review the area covered by vehicles.
  • Compare vehicle activity across the selected reporting period.
  • View day-wise activity and location details for individual vehicles.

How to Read

Read the report from overall vehicle activity → day-wise activity details.

Layer 1 – Area Measurement

  • Check Distance to understand the distance travelled by the object.
  • Check Running, Stop, and Idle to understand how the vehicle's time was utilized.
  • Check Start Location and End Location to identify the beginning and ending locations.
  • Check Work Duration to understand the total operational duration.
  • Check Working Days to identify the number of days on which activity was recorded.
  • Check Area Covered to review the measured area covered by the object.
  • Use Playback when available to review the vehicle movement.

Layer 2 – Area Measurement Detail

  • Check Date and Day to review activity for a specific day.

Example:
If an object shows a high Idle duration in the summary, open the detail layer to identify the specific days when the vehicle remained idle and review its locations and overall activity for those days.

Take Action

  • Review vehicles with low running time or high idle duration.
  • Identify vehicles with extended operational durations.
  • Compare working days across vehicles.
  • Review start and end locations to understand operational movement.
  • Use day-wise details to investigate unusual vehicle activity.
  • Use playback where available to review the vehicle's movement during the selected period.

Important Notes

  • The report contains two layers: Area Measurement → Area Measurement Detail.
  • The report results depend on the selected Company, Branch, Vehicle Group, Digital Port, Date Selection, Time Range, and Object Selection.
  • Activity values are calculated based on the vehicle/device data received during the selected period.
  • Area Covered represents the area measurement recorded for the selected object and period.
  • Day-wise details may show zero or blank values when no relevant vehicle activity is recorded for that day.
