# Report Data API Availability

Users may require report data, such as **Trip Summary**, to be retrieved through an API for integration with their own systems, billing processes, or operational workflows.

### Example Questions

- - Can Trip Summary Report data be retrieved through an API?
    - Is there an API available for report data?
    - Can a customized report API be created?
    - Which Trakzee plan supports customized report APIs?
    - Can data from other reports also be retrieved through an API?

### Symptoms

A user may request a **GET API** to retrieve Trip Summary or other report data for a specified time period.

### Information Required

To evaluate the requirement, collect:

- Required report name
- Required date/time range
- Required fields or parameters
- Expected API response/data format
- Trakzee application/plan being used
- API integration requirements

### Resolution

For **Trakzee Premium**, the **Customize API** functionality can be used to create a customized API report based on the required data.

Using this functionality, the required report data can be configured and the API details can then be shared with the user for integration.

The same functionality can also be used when data from other supported reports is required through an API.

**Note:** As per the current configuration, report-data API functionality through **Customize API** is available for **Trakzee Premium**. It is not available for **Trakzee Standard** and **Flitrack** for retrieving report data through APIs.

### Configuration / Access

If the **Customize API** option is not available for a Premium account, the required access should be enabled for the account.

Once access is available, the required customized API can be created according to the user's report and data requirements.

### Reference

The **User Custom API documentation** should be referred to while creating and configuring the required API.

### Resolution Summary

**Required Report → Verify Plan → Enable Customize API Access → Configure Required Fields → Create Custom API → Share API Details**

This approach can be used for retrieving **Trip Summary** or other supported report data through an API.
