For a newly introduced audio functionality, audio access must first be enabled for the company. After that, audio must also be enabled for the specific vehicle from the **Object Camera Settings**. #### Example Questions - - Why is there no audio during live streaming? - Why is the vehicle camera showing video but no sound? - The microphone was working before, but now there is no audio. What should I check? - Why is the mic not working for the vehicle? - Why is audio not available for all video telematics vehicles? - How do I enable audio for live streaming? - Why can I see the live video but cannot hear audio? ### Symptoms / How to Identify - Live video is available, but **no audio** can be heard. - The microphone/audio option is not working. - Audio is not available for one or multiple video telematics vehicles. - The company-level audio setting is disabled or not configured. - Audio is not enabled for the specific vehicle/object. ### Information Required Before Troubleshooting Check the following: - Company name. - Vehicle/Object name or registration number. - Whether the vehicle has video telematics functionality. - Whether the **Audio** option is enabled for the company. - Whether **Audio** is enabled for the specific vehicle/object. - Whether live video itself is working. - Whether the issue affects one vehicle or multiple vehicles. ### Troubleshooting Steps #### Step 1: Check Company-Level Audio Access 1. Log in to the platform. 2. Navigate to the relevant **Company** account. 3. Open the required **User/Company Settings**. 4. Check whether the **Audio** functionality/access is enabled. 5. If it is not enabled, enable it first. **Note:** Audio access must be enabled at the company level before it can be used for individual vehicles. #### Step 2: Enable Audio for the Vehicle 1. After enabling the company-level audio functionality, go to the relevant vehicle/object. 2. Open **Object Settings / Object Camera Settings**. 3. Check whether the **Audio** option is enabled for the specific vehicle. 4. Enable the option if it is disabled. 5. Save the configuration. #### Step 3: Test Live Streaming 1. Open the **Live Tracking** screen. 2. Select the affected vehicle. 3. Open the live video streaming option. 4. Verify whether the audio is now available. 5. If multiple video telematics vehicles are affected, repeat the configuration check for the respective vehicles. ### Possible Cause The audio issue can occur when: - Audio functionality has not been enabled for the **Company**. - Audio has not been enabled for the specific **Vehicle/Object**. - The vehicle's camera/audio configuration is not enabled. - The issue affects multiple vehicles because the company-level audio access has not been configured. ### Resolution / Action Enable audio in the following order: **Company Level → Enable Audio Access** ↓ **Vehicle/Object Level → Object Camera Settings → Enable Audio** ↓ **Live Tracking → Live Video → Test Audio** **Note:** Enabling audio at the company level alone is not sufficient. **Audio must also be enabled for the specific vehicle/object** from the applicable camera settings before audio can work during live streaming. -
