If the driver is subsequently deleted from the platform, the historical driver activity may continue to appear in reports based on previously received event data. This can cause reports to display an unexpected driver name, show “No Driver Found” for a specific date, or show different driver information across reporting periods. RFID mapping should also be verified when the driver identified in device logs does not match the driver expected by the customer. ### Example Questions - - Why does the Trip Summary report show “No Driver Found” for a particular date? - Why does a weekly report display a driver who is not currently registered in the system? - Why does the report show a different driver from the one operating the vehicle? - Why is the driver's RFID tag not reflected correctly in reports? - Why does the driver name differ between the System Log and Trip Summary? - Can a missing Step Out event cause incorrect driver information? - Why does a deleted driver's name continue to appear in reports? - What should be done if a driver is deleted without recording a Step Out event? - Why do driver details differ when reports are generated for different date ranges? ### Symptoms / How to Identify - The Trip Summary report displays “No Driver Found” for a specific date. - A report covering a longer date range displays a different or unexpected driver name. - The driver shown in reports does not match the driver's actual identity. - Device logs show an RFID tag associated with a different driver than expected. - A Step In event is recorded, but the corresponding Step Out event is missing. - A deleted driver's historical activity continues to appear in reports. ### Information Required Before Troubleshooting Collect the following information: - Vehicle number or object details. - Affected reporting dates and date ranges. - Screenshots of the Trip Summary or other affected reports. - Driver details expected by the customer. - RFID tag number, where applicable. - Relevant System Log records showing Step In and Step Out events. - Driver registration and deletion status. - Confirmation of whether the driver was deleted before or after the reported events, if known. ### Troubleshooting Steps **Step 1: Compare reports for different date ranges** Generate the affected report for a specific date and for a longer period. Compare the driver names and check whether the discrepancy occurs only for certain dates. **Step 2: Verify the driver and RFID mapping** Check whether the RFID tag recorded in the device logs is associated with the expected driver in the platform. Confirm that the tag is not mapped to another driver. **Step 3: Review driver activity in the logs** Check the System Log for the driver's Step In event and verify whether a corresponding Step Out event was received. **Step 4: Check the driver's registration status** Determine whether the driver is currently registered or has been deleted. If the driver has been deleted, check the available historical event records to understand why the driver's activity continues to appear in reports. **Step 5: Allow for report processing where applicable** If the driver was recently deleted and the issue is associated with historical activity, monitor the reports until the next day, as advised in the reported case. If the discrepancy persists, collect the latest logs and reports for further technical investigation. ### Possible Cause The reported case identified the following conditions: - A Step In event was recorded for the driver. - The corresponding Step Out event was not received. - The driver was subsequently deleted from the platform. - Historical driver activity continued to appear in reports based on the available event data. An RFID mapping mismatch may also contribute to incorrect driver identification and should be checked separately. ### Resolution / Action 1. Verify the driver's RFID mapping and confirm that the correct tag is assigned. 2. Check the available logs for Step In and Step Out events. 3. If a Step Out event is missing, investigate the available device data and driver activity records. 4. If the driver was recently deleted, monitor the reports until the next day to check whether the discrepancy persists. 5. If the incorrect driver information continues to appear, escalate the case with the vehicle details, affected dates, report screenshots, and relevant logs. **Note:** The exact driver deletion timestamp could not be confirmed in the reported case because the platform did not retain an audit log for the precise deletion time. Do not assume the deletion time or guarantee that historical records will disappear automatically.
