This can happen when the **Screen Rights** configured for the current reseller differ from those of the target reseller. Screen Rights are inherited through the parent-child account hierarchy. If the rights do not match during the transfer, certain screens may be discarded or the company may inherit an inconsistent set of permissions. ### Example Questions - - Why am I unable to change the reseller assigned to a company? - Why does the platform display a rights mismatch error during a reseller transfer? - Which rights need to be aligned before transferring a company? - Why must Screen Rights match between the current and target resellers? - How can I transfer a company to another reseller without losing screen permissions? - Can I restore the target reseller's original Screen Rights after the transfer? ### Symptoms / How to Identify - An error appears when changing the reseller assigned to a company. - The error refers to a rights or permissions mismatch. - The company cannot be transferred to the target reseller. - The current and target resellers have different Screen Rights configurations. ### Information Required Before Troubleshooting - Company name. - Current reseller name. - Target reseller name. - Screenshot of the error message. - Screen Rights configuration of both resellers. ### Troubleshooting Steps **Step 1: Identify the current and target resellers** Confirm which reseller currently manages the company and which reseller should receive it. **Step 2: Compare Screen Rights** Review the Screen Rights configured for both the current reseller and the target reseller. Identify any differences. **Step 3: Temporarily align Screen Rights** Temporarily update the target reseller's Screen Rights to match those of the current reseller. **Step 4: Transfer the company** Navigate to **Settings → General → Users → Company**, select the company, open the company edit screen, change the assigned reseller, and save the changes. **Step 5: Restore the original Screen Rights** After the transfer is completed successfully, restore the target reseller's original Screen Rights configuration, where required. **Step 6: Verify the transfer** Confirm that the company is assigned to the correct reseller and that the required screens and permissions are available. ### Possible Cause The Screen Rights of the current reseller and target reseller do not match. Because these rights are inherited through the parent-child hierarchy, the platform validates the configurations before allowing the transfer. A mismatch could result in certain screens being discarded or permissions becoming inconsistent. ### Resolution / Action Temporarily align the target reseller's Screen Rights with those of the current reseller, complete the company transfer, and then restore the target reseller's original Screen Rights.
