Fuel Reading Not Displaying Correctly After Calibration

The fuel reading may not display correctly on the platform even after uploading the calibration sheet and verifying the fuel sensor settings. This can occur when the calibration values do not match the actual voltage values received from the device.

For example, if the calibration table supports a maximum reading of 4.004V, but the device is sending fuel-related raw data around 13V, the platform cannot calculate the correct fuel level using that calibration table.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Verify that fuel data is being received from the device.
  2. Check the Fuel Widget to confirm whether the platform is receiving and processing fuel data.
  3. Verify the uploaded fuel calibration table.
  4. Compare the voltage/value range configured in the calibration table with the actual raw data received from the device.
  5. Check whether the maximum value in the calibration table is sufficient to cover the voltage received from the device.
  6. If there is a significant mismatch, re-check the calibration sheet and confirm the correct sensor output values with the client.
  7. Update the calibration table with the correct values and save the configuration.
  8. Verify the Fuel Widget again after receiving new device data.

Possible Cause

  • Incorrect fuel calibration values uploaded to the platform.
  • Calibration table voltage range does not match the raw voltage received from the fuel sensor/device.
  • The fuel sensor may be configured with values different from those used in the calibration sheet.

Resolution / Action

Re-verify the calibration sheet against the actual raw data received from the device. If the calibration table contains incorrect or incomplete voltage values, upload the correct calibration values and save the configuration.
