Travel Distance Alert

The Travel Distance Alert is triggered when a vehicle covers a predefined distance within the selected time frame. Example / Use Case

A Travel Distance Alert is triggered when a vehicle exceeds the configured travel distance within the monitoring period. For example, if a fleet vehicle that is expected to operate within a limited route travels beyond the assigned distance threshold, the alert activates. The fleet manager immediately receives an SMS, email, or in-app notification, helping ensure that the vehicle is being used as intended and assisting in detecting unauthorized or excessive travel. This supports efficient route planning, operational control, and overall fleet discipline.

Action

  • SMS: Add recipient phone numbers under Admin/Company settings to receive instant text alerts.

  • Email: Add email recipients to receive alert details in real time.

  • Notification: Select users who should receive in-app notifications and set a preferred notification tone.

When Based On: Object, Object Group, or Object Type

  • Object: Apply the alert to an individual vehicle equipped with a proximity detection system.

  • Object Group: Apply to a group of vehicles operating in the same zone or project area.

  • Object Type: Apply to specific types of vehicles (e.g., forklifts, loaders, trucks) to enforce safety standards fleet-wide.
