# Trailer Connected

The **Trailer Connected** alert is used to notify users when the trailer connection status reported by the connected device changes. This alert helps monitor whether a trailer is **connected or disconnected** and enables users to take timely action based on the reported trailer status.

#### **Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)**

- **Trailer Connected:** The Trailer connected sensor must be configured for the object.

**Please Note:** The sensor should be connected to a supported **Digital port**, depending on the device model.

### How to Configure

1. Select the appropriate **Company** and **Branch** for which the alert is to be configured.
2. **Based On:** Choose on what you want to base the alert configuration (Object, [Object Group](https://helpdesk.uffizio.com/knowledge/trakzee/add-object-group?hsLang=en), Object Type). 
     1. **Object:** Select individual vehicles for whom you want the alert to generate.
     2. **[Object Group](https://helpdesk.uffizio.com/knowledge/trakzee/add-object-group?hsLang=en):** Select a group of vehicles for whom you want the alert to generate.
     3. **Object Type:** Select vehicle or object type for whom you want the alert to generate.
3. Select the required **Object**, **Object Group**, or **Object Type** based on the selection made in the previous step.
4. Enter an **Alert Name** for identification of the alert.
5. Select **Trailer Connected** from the **Alert Type** dropdown.
6. Under **Value**, select the trailer status for which the alert should be generated:
   
     1. **On:** The alert will be generated when the device reports that the trailer is connected.
     2. **Off:** The alert will be generated when the device reports that the trailer is disconnected.
     3. **Both:** The alert will be generated for both trailer connection and disconnection.
7. In the **Text** field, enter the message that will be displayed when alert is triggered.
8. Select the **Valid Days, Everyday or Custom.** 
     1. **Everyday:** This alert will be triggered, everyday in case of a violation in accordance to these parameters set.
     2. **Custom:** Mark the checkboxes of the days, when you want this alert to be triggered for. (eg., Sun, Mon and Sat)

9. Enter the **Valid Time From** and **To** to define the time period during which the alert should be active.
10. Select the required **Timezone**. The alert will be evaluated according to the selected timezone.
11. Select the **Severity** of the alert (**Low**, **Medium**, or **High**).
12. Under **Action**, select the required method for receiving the alert: 
      1. **SMS**: To receive an alert by SMS, enable the checkbox, enter the phone numbers.
      2. **Email:** To receive an alert by Email, enable the checkbox, enter the recipients of the email.
      3. **Notification:** To receive an alert on the system Push Notification, enable checkbox. 
             1. From **Users,** select the users that will receive the notification.
             2. From **Notification Sound**. Select the sound from the drop-down that will be played for this notification.
      4. **Social Media API:** To receive the alert through WhatsApp or Telegram, enable the checkbox and configure the required gateway and recipient details. 
             1. **WhatsApp**: Select to send notification via WhatsApp 
                      1. In **Recipient Number**, enter the recipient's mobile number along with the **country code**.
                      2. To add multiple recipients, separate the mobile numbers using a **comma (,)**.
             2. **Telegram**: Select Telegram to send notification via Telegram. 
                      1. In **Telegram Chat ID**, enter the Chat ID to which the alert should be sent.
                      2. To send the alert to multiple Telegram chats, separate the Chat IDs using a **comma (,)**.
      5. **IVR:** To receive the alert through an automated voice call, enable the checkbox and enter the required phone numbers.
13. Click the **Save 💾** icon to save the alert configuration.

**Please Note:** To receive alerts through **SMS, Email, Social Media API or IVR**, the respective API must be configured at the **Admin, Reseller, or Company** level.
