[Alert](https://helpdesk.uffizio.com/knowledge/trakzee?hsLang=en#alert) # Temperature Alert The **Temperature** alert is used to notify users when the temperature reported by a vehicle or connected temperature sensor reaches the configured condition. This alert helps monitor temperature-sensitive assets, identify abnormal temperature conditions, and take timely action to prevent damage or loss. The alert can be configured using either **Custom** values or **Calibration** settings, depending on how the temperature monitoring is set up. ![](https://helpdesk.uffizio.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jan-12-2026-05-52-58-0954-AM.png?width=670&height=711&name=image-png-Jan-12-2026-05-52-58-0954-AM.png) #### **Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)** - **Temperature Sensor:** A temperature sensor must be configured and attached to the Object to receive temperature data. - **Calibration:** If the alert is configured using the **Calibration** option, the required temperature calibration must be configured for the corresponding object/sensor. **Please Note:** To configure or attach the required temperature sensor, go to **Settings → General → Object → Sensor**.  #### **How to Configure** 1. Select the correct **Company** and **Branch** for whom the alert is to be configured. 2. **Based On:** Choose what you want to base the alert configuration on (**Object, Object Group, Object Type**). 1. **Object:** Select individual vehicles/objects for whom you want the alert to generate. 2. **Object Group:** Select a group of vehicles/objects for whom you want the alert to generate. 3. **Object Type:** Select a vehicle or object type for whom you want the alert to generate. 3. Select the **Object** based on the previous step selection. 4. Set an **Alert Name** for identification of the alert. 5. Select the **Alert Type** as **Temperature**. 6. In **Exclude Address**, select a **POI (Point of Interest)** if you want to exclude temperature alerts from the selected address/location. 7. Select the temperature configuration method: 1. **Custom:** Select this option to define the temperature condition manually. - From **Value**, select the required condition, such as **Between**. - Enter the required temperature values in the corresponding fields. - For example, if the acceptable temperature range is **2°C to 8°C**, enter **2** and **8**. 2. **Calibration:** Select this option to use the temperature values based on the configured calibration settings. 8. **Ignition:** Enable this checkbox if the temperature alert should be considered only when the vehicle's ignition is ON. 9. **Duration:** When using the **Custom** temperature configuration, enter the duration in seconds for which the temperature condition must remain valid before the alert is generated. 10. **Repeat Every:** Enter the time interval in **HH:mm** format if you want the alert to be repeated at the configured interval while the temperature condition continues. 11. **Consider Status:** Enable this option if the alert should consider the status data received from the device while determining whether to generate the alert. 12. In the **Text** field, enter the message that will be displayed when the temperature alert is triggered. 13. Select the **Valid Day(s)** as **Everyday** or **Custom**. 1. **Everyday:** The alert will be triggered every day when the configured temperature condition is met. 2. **Custom:** Select the specific days on which you want the alert to be triggered. 14. Enter the **Valid Time From** and **To**. The alert will be generated only within the selected time range. 15. Select the required **Timezone**. 16. Select the **Severity** of the alert (**Low**, **Medium**, or **High**). 17. Under **Action**, select the medium through which the alert or notification should be sent (**SMS, Email, Notification, Social Media API, or IVR**). 1. **SMS:** To receive the alert by SMS, enable the checkbox and enter the required phone numbers. 2. **Email:** To receive the alert by email, enable the checkbox and enter the email recipients. 3. **Notification:** To receive the alert as a system push notification, enable the checkbox and select the users who should receive it. Configure the **Notification Sound** if available. 4. **Social Media API:** To receive the alert through WhatsApp or Telegram, enable the checkbox and configure the required gateway and recipient details. 5. **IVR:** To receive the alert through an automated voice call, enable the checkbox and enter the required phone numbers. 18. Click the **Save 💾 icon** to save the alert configuration. **Please Note:** To receive alerts through **SMS, Email, Social Media API, or IVR**, the respective API/gateway must be configured at the **Admin, Reseller, or Company** level. #### **Example** A refrigerated vehicle is transporting temperature-sensitive goods, and the acceptable temperature range is configured as **2°C to 8°C**. If the temperature rises above **8°C** and remains outside the configured range for the specified duration, the **Temperature** alert is triggered.
