Reached Address

The Reached Address alert is triggered when a vehicle arrives at a specified Point of Interest (POI). It helps fleet managers monitor scheduled stops, track on-time arrivals, and ensure compliance for deliveries, pickups, or checkpoints.

Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)

  • The address needs to be added on the  system in order to trigger the alert.

Please Note: You can add address by going to Setting -> General ->  Address.

How to Configure

  1. Select the correct Company and Branch for whom the alert is to be configured.

  2. Based On: Choose on what you want to base the alert configuration (Object, Object Group, Object Type).

    1. Object: Select individual vehicles for whom you want the alert to generate.
    2. Object Group: Select a group of vehicles for whom you want the alert to generate.
    3. Object Type: Select vehicle or object type for whom you want the alert to generate.
  3. Select the Object based on the previous step selection.

  4. Set an Alert Name for identification of the alert.

  5. Select the Alert Type as Reached Address.

  6. From Address Type, Select the type based on which the add address list will load. 
  7. From Add Address, Select the address for which you want to configure the alert.
    ( The alert will be triggered when the vehicle has reached the selected address. the ignition needs to be off & vehicle speed should be below 5.)
  8. In the Text field, enter the message that will be displayed when the alert is triggered.

  9. Select the Valid Days, Everyday or Custom. 
    1. Everyday: This alert will be triggered, everyday in case of a violation in accordance to these parameters set.
    2. Custom: Mark the checkboxes of the days, when you want this alert to be triggered for. (eg., Sun, Mon and Sat)
  10. Enter the Valid Time From and To. The alert will be generated inside the time range that you have selected.
  11. Select the Timezone.
  12. Select the Severity of the alert (LowMedium, or High).
  13. Mark the checkboxes of the medium via which you want the Action or Notification to be sent. (eg., SMS, Email or Notification)
    1. SMS: To receive an alert by SMS, enable the checkbox, enter the phone numbers.
    2. Email: To receive an alert by Email, enable the checkbox, enter the recipients of the email.
    3. Notification: To receive an alert on the system Push Notification, enable checkbox.
      1. From Users,  select the users that will receive the notification.
      2. From Notification Sound. Select the sound from the drop-down that will be played for this notification.
  14. Click Save to save the alert configuration.

Please Note: To Receive the alert on SMS & Email, the api should be configured either on Admin, Reseller or Company.

Example

Alogistics company wants to ensure that delivery vehicles reach a retail store on time. The fleet manager sets a Reached Address alert for the store location with a message like “Vehicle has reached the delivery point.” When the vehicle arrives at the store, the alert is triggered, confirming successful and timely arrival.
