PTO Active Alert

The PTO Active alert is used to notify users when the vehicle's Power Take-Off (PTO) is engaged. This alert is triggered when the PTO status changes to Active, indicating that auxiliary equipment connected to the vehicle is in operation. The alert helps monitor equipment usage, track vehicle activity, and ensure proper utilization of PTO-powered systems. 

Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)

  • PTO Active : Sensor attachment on the Object screen is required for this event to be triggered.

Please Note: To connect the PTO Active sensor go to Settings -> General -> Object -> Sensor.

How to Configure

  1. Select the correct Company and Branch for whom the alert is to be configured.

  2. Based On: Choose on what you want to base the alert configuration (Object, Object Group, Object Type).

    1. Object: Select individual vehicles for whom you want the alert to generate.
    2. Object Group: Select a group of vehicles for whom you want the alert to generate.
    3. Object Type: Select vehicle or object type for whom you want the alert to generate.
  3. Select the Object based on the previous step selection.

  4. Set an Alert Name for identification of the alert.

  5. Select the Alert Type as PTO Active.

  6. From Value, Select On/Off or Both.
    1. Select ON, if you want the alert to be triggered when the PTO Active is turned ON.
    2. Select OFF if you want the alert to be triggered when the PTO Active is turned OFF.
    3. Select Both if you want the alert to be triggered when the PTO Active is turned ON and OFF. 
  7. In the Text field, enter the message that will be displayed when the alert is triggered.

  8. Select the Valid Days, Everyday or Custom. 
    1. Everyday: This alert will be triggered, everyday in case of a violation in accordance to these parameters set.
    2. Custom: Mark the checkboxes of the days, when you want this alert to be triggered for. (eg., Sun, Mon and Sat)
  9. Enter the Valid Time From and To. The alert will be generated inside the time range that you have selected.
  10. Select the Timezone.
  11. Select the Severity of the alert (LowMedium, or High).
  12. Mark the checkboxes of the medium via which you want the Action or Notification to be sent. (eg., SMS, Email or Notification)
    1. SMS: To receive an alert by SMS, enable the checkbox, enter the phone numbers.
    2. Email: To receive an alert by Email, enable the checkbox, enter the recipients of the email.
    3. Notification: To receive an alert on the system Push Notification, enable checkbox.
      1. From Users,  select the users that will receive the notification.
      2. From Notification Sound. Select the sound from the drop-down that will be played for this notification.
    4. Social Media API: To receive an alert on Whatsapp or Telegram, enable this checkbox
      1. From Gateway, select Whatsapp or Telegram on which the notification is to be send.
      2. In Recipient Number, enter the phone numbers, use the country code.
    5. IVR: To receive alerts through IVR ( automated voice call ), enable the checkbox.
      1. In To Numbers, enter the phone numbers.
  13. Click Save 💾 icon. to save the alert configuration.

Please Note: To Receive the alert on SMS, Email, Social Media API & IVR the api should be configured either on Admin, Reseller or Company.

Example

A driver presses the PTO switch to start operating equipment connected to the vehicle. As soon as the PTO becomes active, the PTO Active alert is triggered and a notification is sent to the user.
