The Neutral Taxi Warning ADAS alert is triggered when the vehicle moves while the transmission is in a neutral gear. This behavior is detected by the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and may indicate unsafe driving practices or transmission misuse. The alert helps fleet managers monitor and correct such behaviors to maintain vehicle safety and reduce wear on the drivetrain.

How to Configure

  1. Select the relevant Company and Branch.
  2. From the Alert Type dropdown, choose Neutral Taxi Warning ADAS.
  3. Enter an Alert Name as per your preference.
  4. Based On: Object, Object Group, or Object Type.
  5. Enter a descriptive Text message (e.g., “Vehicle moving in neutral gear detected – ADAS warning”).
  6. Configure Valid Days — choose Everyday or Custom, and specify the days if custom.
  7. Set Valid Time From / To to define when the alert should be active.
  8. Select the appropriate TimeZone.
  9. Set the Severity Level (Low, Medium, or High).
  10. Select preferred notification methods — SMS, Email, or In-App Notification.
  11. Click Save.

Use Case

A Neutral Taxi Warning ADAS alert is triggered when the system detects that a vehicle is moving while the gear is in neutral. Notifications are sent via SMS, Email, or In-App Notification to fleet managers, enabling them to investigate and guide drivers on proper gear handling to enhance operational safety and reduce potential mechanical issues.

When Based On: Object, Object Group, or Object Type

  • Object: Select individual vehicles equipped with ADAS or transmission sensors.
  • Object Group: Select a group of such vehicles; all will appear for further selection.
  • Object Type: Select vehicle types equipped with ADAS and relevant sensors; all vehicles under that type will be available for selection.
