Light Alarm

 The Light Alarm alert is used to notify users when the connected device detects a light-related alarm event from the vehicle or monitored equipment. This alert helps fleet operators monitor abnormal light or illumination-related events and take timely action when a light alarm is reported.

Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)

  • Supported Device: The selected vehicle or object must be equipped with a tracking device or connected system that supports light alarm detection.
  • Light Alarm Data: The system must receive the corresponding Light Alarm event from the connected device.
  • Device Communication: The tracking device must be properly configured and communicating with the platform.

How to Configure

  1. Select the correct Company and Branch for whom the alert is to be configured.
  2. Based On: Choose what you want to base the alert configuration on (Object, Object Group, Object Type).
    1. Object: Select individual vehicles/objects for whom you want the alert to generate.
    2. Object Group: Select a group of vehicles/objects for whom you want the alert to generate.
    3. Object Type: Select a vehicle or object type for whom you want the alert to generate.
  3. Select the Object based on the previous step selection.
  4. Set an Alert Name for identification of the alert.
  5. Select the Alert Type as Light Alarm.
  6. In the Text field, enter the message that will be displayed when the Light Alarm alert is triggered.
  7. Select the Valid Day(s) as Everyday or Custom.
    1. Everyday: The alert will be triggered every day when a Light Alarm event is detected.
    2. Custom: Select the specific days on which you want this alert to be triggered.
  8. Enter the Valid Time From and To. The alert will be generated only within the selected time range.
  9. Select the required Timezone.
  10. Select the Severity of the alert (Low, Medium, or High).
  11. Under Action, select the medium through which the alert or notification should be sent (SMS, Email, Notification, Social Media API, or IVR).
    1. SMS: To receive the alert by SMS, enable the checkbox and enter the required phone numbers.
    2. Email: To receive the alert by email, enable the checkbox and enter the email recipients.
    3. Notification: To receive the alert as a system push notification, enable the checkbox and select the users who should receive it.
    4. Social Media API: To receive the alert through WhatsApp or Telegram, enable the checkbox and configure the required gateway and recipient details.
    5. IVR: To receive the alert through an automated voice call, enable the checkbox and enter the required phone numbers.
  12. Click the Save 💾 icon to save the alert configuration.

Please Note: To receive alerts through SMS, Email, Social Media API, or IVR, the respective API/gateway must be configured at the Admin, Reseller, or Company level.

Example

If the connected device detects a light-related alarm condition and sends a Light Alarm event to the platform, the configured alert is triggered. The selected users receive a notification, allowing the fleet operator to review the event and take appropriate action.
