Job Status

The Job Status alert is triggered whenever a job starts, ends, or both, based on the configured settings. This alert helps fleet managers monitor the real-time progress of assigned jobs, ensuring timely execution and effective workflow management.


Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)

  • Job: A Job must be created and assigned to a vehicle in order for this alert to be triggered.

Please Note: To configure a Job go to Settings -> Master -> Job.

How to Configure

  1. Select the correct Company and Branch for whom the alert is to be configured.

  2. Based On: Choose on what you want to base the alert configuration (Object, Object Group, Object Type).

    1. Object: Select individual vehicles for whom you want the alert to generate.
    2. Object Group: Select a group of vehicles for whom you want the alert to generate.
    3. Object Type: Select vehicle or object type for whom you want the alert to generate.
  3. Select the Object based on the previous step selection.

  4. Set an Alert Name for identification of the alert.

  5. Select the Alert Type as Job Status.

  6. From Value, Select Start/End or Both.
    1. Select Start, if you want the alert to be triggered when the when the vehicle starts the Job.
    2. Select End if you want the alert to be triggered when the vehicle Completes the Job.
    3. Select Both if you want the alert to be triggered for both Start and End of the Job.
  7. In the Text field, enter the message that will be displayed when the alert is triggered.

  8. Select the Valid Days, Everyday or Custom. 
    1. Everyday: This alert will be triggered, everyday in case of a violation in accordance to these parameters set.
    2. Custom: Mark the checkboxes of the days, when you want this alert to be triggered for. (eg., Sun, Mon and Sat)
  9. Enter the Valid Time From and To. The alert will be generated inside the time range that you have selected.
  10. Select the Timezone.
  11. Select the Severity of the alert (LowMedium, or High).
  12. Mark the checkboxes of the medium via which you want the Action or Notification to be sent. (eg., SMS, Email or Notification)
    1. SMS: To receive an alert by SMS, enable the checkbox, enter the phone numbers.
    2. Email: To receive an alert by Email, enable the checkbox, enter the recipients of the email.
    3. Notification: To receive an alert on the system Push Notification, enable checkbox, and select the notification tone. you’ll receive notifications according to the Severity Set i.e Low, Medium or High.
  13. Click Save 💾 icon. to save the alert configuration.

Please Note: To Receive the alert on SMS & Email, the api should be configured either on Admin, Reseller or Company.

Example

When a job is assigned with monitoring enabled, the Job Status alert is triggered at key stages of the job lifecycle.

For example:

  • If a job is scheduled to start at 9:00 AM, a Job Status alert is sent when the vehicle begins the job at 9:00 AM.

  • When the job is completed at 1:30 PM, another alert is triggered indicating the job end status.

These alerts are sent via SMS, Email, or In-App Notification, allowing fleet managers to track job progress in real time and ensure smooth and timely job execution.
