Job Route Deviation

The Job Route Deviation alert is triggered when a vehicle deviates from a predefined job route, based on the configured distance (meters) or duration (minutes) threshold. This alert helps fleet managers monitor job route compliance, detect unauthorized detours, and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.

Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)

  • Job: A Job must be created and assigned to a vehicle, and consider job with route option needs to enabled in order for this alert to be triggered.

Please Note: To configure a Job go to Settings -> Master -> Job.

How to Configure

  1. Select the correct Company and Branch for whom the alert is to be configured.

  2. Based On: Choose on what you want to base the alert configuration (Object, Object Group, Object Type).

    1. Object: Select individual vehicles for whom you want the alert to generate.
    2. Object Group: Select a group of vehicles for whom you want the alert to generate.
    3. Object Type: Select vehicle or object type for whom you want the alert to generate.
  3. Select the Object based on the previous step selection.

  4. Set an Alert Name for identification of the alert.

  5. Select the Alert Type as Job Route Deviation.

    1. In Duration,  Mention the duration ( in minutes ) if the the vehicle is still not on the designated route after the mentioned time the alert will be triggered.
    2. In Distance, Specify the maximum allowed deviation( meters ) from the route. If the vehicle moves beyond this defined distance from the route, the Job Route Deviation alert will be triggered.From Based On, you can select distance and/or duration option for triggering the alert.
  6. In the Text field, enter the message that will be displayed when the alert is triggered.

  7. Select the Valid Days, Everyday or Custom. 
    1. Everyday: This alert will be triggered, everyday in case of a violation in accordance to these parameters set.
    2. Custom: Mark the checkboxes of the days, when you want this alert to be triggered for. (eg., Sun, Mon and Sat)
  8. Enter the Valid Time From and To. The alert will be generated inside the time range that you have selected.
  9. Select the Timezone.
  10. Select the Severity of the alert (LowMedium, or High).
  11. Mark the checkboxes of the medium via which you want the Action or Notification to be sent. (eg., SMS, Email or Notification)
    1. SMS: To receive an alert by SMS, enable the checkbox, enter the phone numbers.
    2. Email: To receive an alert by Email, enable the checkbox, enter the recipients of the email.
    3. Notification: To receive an alert on the system Push Notification, enable checkbox.
      1. From Users,  select the users that will receive the notification.
      2. From Notification Sound. Select the sound from the drop-down that will be played for this notification.
  12. Click On the Save Icon.

Please Note: To Receive the alert on SMS & Email, the api should be configured either on Admin, Reseller or Company.

Example

If a job route is assigned to a vehicle with a distance deviation limit of 300 meters and a duration limit of 10 minutes, the Job Route Deviation alert will be triggered if the vehicle moves more than 300 meters away from the assigned route or remains off the designated route for over 10 minutes during the configured time and valid days. Once triggered, the system sends an SMS, email, or in-app notification to the selected users, enabling fleet managers to quickly identify deviations and ensure timely job completion.
