Head Down Frequently Warning

The Head Down Frequently Warning alert is triggered when a driver repeatedly lowers their head, detected through connected sensors like a DMS (Driver Monitoring System) or camera-based monitoring. This alert helps fleet managers identify unsafe behavior such as distraction (using phone) or fatigue, allowing them to take timely action and improve overall driver safety.

Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)

  • Camera: Camera should be configured for DMS events.

How to Configure

  1. Select the correct Company and Branch for whom the alert is to be configured.

  2. Based On: Choose on what you want to base the alert configuration (Object, Object Group, Object Type).

    1. Object: Select individual vehicles for whom you want the alert to generate.
    2. Object Group: Select a group of vehicles for whom you want the alert to generate.
    3. Object Type: Select vehicle or object type for whom you want the alert to generate.
  3. Select the Object based on the previous step selection.

  4. Set an Alert Name for identification of the alert.

  5. Select the Alert Type as Head Down Frequently Warning

  6. In the Text field, enter the message that will be displayed when the alert is triggered.

  7. Select the Valid Days, Everyday or Custom. 
    1. Everyday: This alert will be triggered, everyday in case of a violation in accordance to these parameters set.
    2. Custom: Mark the checkboxes of the days, when you want this alert to be triggered for. (eg., Sun, Mon and Sat)
  8. Enter the Valid Time From and To. The alert will be generated inside the time range that you have selected.
  9. Select the Timezone.
  10. Select the Severity of the alert (LowMedium, or High).
  11. Mark the checkboxes of the medium via which you want the Action or Notification to be sent. (eg., SMS, Email or Notification)
    1. SMS: To receive an alert by SMS, enable the checkbox, enter the phone numbers.
    2. Email: To receive an alert by Email, enable the checkbox, enter the recipients of the email.
    3. Notification: To receive an alert on the system Push Notification, enable checkbox.
      1. From Users,  select the users that will receive the notification.
      2. From Notification Sound. Select the sound from the drop-down that will be played for this notification.
  12. Click Save 💾 icon. to save the alert configuration.

Please Note: To Receive the alert on SMS & Email, the api should be configured either on Admin, Reseller or Company.

Example

A Head Down Frequently Warning alert is triggered when a driver repeatedly lowers their head while driving, which may indicate fatigue or distraction. Once triggered, notifications are sent based on the configured actions (SMS, Email, or In-App Notification), helping fleet managers take timely action and encourage safer driving behavior.
