Handbrake not applied Alert

The Handbrake Not Applied alert is used to notify users when the vehicle's handbrake is not engaged, Alert is triggered when the vehicle ignition is OFF, the vehicle speed is 0, and the handbrake is not applied, indicating that the vehicle is parked without the handbrake being engaged.

Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)

• Ignition/ACC: Sensor attachment on the Object screen is required for this event to be triggered.
• Device dependent: This alert is dependent on the vehicle's GPS device.

How to Configure

1. Select the correct Company and Branch for whom the alert is to be configured.

2. Based On: Choose on what you want to base the alert configuration (Object, Object Group, Object Type).

   1. Object: Select individual vehicles for whom you want the alert to generate.
   2. Object Group: Select a group of vehicles for whom you want the alert to generate.
   3. Object Type: Select vehicle or object type for whom you want the alert to generate.

3. Select the Object based on the previous step selection.

4. Set an Alert Name for identification of the alert.

5. Select the Alert Type as Handbrake not applied.

6. In Duration, Specify the amount of time (in seconds) for which the configured conditions must remain valid before the alert is generated.

7. In the Text field, enter the message that will be displayed when the alert is triggered.

8. Select the Valid Days, Everyday or Custom. 
   1. Everyday: This alert will be triggered, everyday in case of a violation in accordance to these parameters set.
   2. Custom: Mark the checkboxes of the days, when you want this alert to be triggered for. (eg., Sun, Mon and Sat)
      
9. Enter the Valid Time From and To. The alert will be generated inside the time range that you have selected.
10. Select the Timezone.
11. Select the Severity of the alert (Low, Medium, or High).
12. Mark the checkboxes of the medium via which you want the Action or Notification to be sent. (eg., SMS, Email or Notification)
    
    1. SMS: To receive an alert by SMS, enable the checkbox, enter the phone numbers.
    2. Email: To receive an alert by Email, enable the checkbox, enter the recipients of the email.
    3. Notification: To receive an alert on the system Push Notification, enable checkbox.
       1. From Users,  select the users that will receive the notification.
       2. From Notification Sound. Select the sound from the drop-down that will be played for this notification.
13. Social Media API: To receive an alert on Whatsapp or Telegram, enable this checkbox
    
    1. From Gateway, select Whatsapp or Telegram on which the notification is to be send.
    2. In Recipient Number, enter the phone numbers, use the country code.
14. Click Save 💾 icon. to save the alert configuration.

Example

 The driver parks the vehicle and turns the ignition OFF. The vehicle remains stationary (speed = 0), but the handbrake is not engaged. In this case, the Handbrake Not Applied alert will be triggered to notify the user that the vehicle has been left parked without the handbrake being applied
