Front Proximity Alert
Definition / Description
The Front Proximity alert is triggered when the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) detects that the vehicle is too close to an object or another vehicle in front of it. This alert serves as an early warning to the driver, helping to prevent potential front-end collisions during driving, parking, or low-speed maneuvering. It enhances road safety by allowing timely corrective action, such as braking or adjusting speed.
Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)
- Video Streaming Device or ADAS: A video streaming device or ADAS must be configured in the vehicle.
- Front Proximity: Front Proximity must be configured on selected ADAS channels to detect and record the event clip in the Camera tab while adding an object.
How to Configure
- Select the relevant Company and Branch.
- From the Alert Type dropdown, choose Front Proximity.
- Enter an Alert Name as per your preference.
- Based On: Object, Object Group, or Object Type.
- Enter a descriptive Text message (e.g., “Front object detected – Maintain safe distance”).

Use Case
A Front Proximity alert is triggered when the ADAS system detects an object or vehicle too close to the front of the vehicle, indicating a potential collision risk. Once triggered, notifications are sent via SMS, Email, or In-App Notification to inform the driver and fleet manager. This enables immediate response — such as slowing down, maintaining a safe distance, or inspecting sensor calibration — to ensure enhanced driving safety and vehicle performance.
When Based On: Object, Object Group, or Object Type
- Object: Select individual vehicles equipped with Front Proximity sensors or ADAS.
- Object Group: Select a group of ADAS-enabled vehicles; all vehicles in the group appear for further selection.
- Object Type: Select vehicle types that include Front Proximity detection features; all vehicles under that type will be available for selection.
