Elock Status Alert

Definition / Description

The Elock Status Alert is triggered based on the current operational state of the electronic lock (Elock), indicating whether the lock is in a locked or unlocked condition. This alert provides real-time visibility into the Elock’s security status, allowing fleet managers to monitor when and how locks are engaged or disengaged. Tracking the Elock’s status ensures that cargo containers, vehicles, or secured compartments remain properly locked during transit and are safely unlocked during authorized operations.

Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)

Example / Use Case

An Elock Status Alert is triggered when the Elock changes its operational state — for instance, when a vehicle’s cargo door is locked after loading or unlocked upon reaching an authorized destination. If the alert is configured for both states, it generates a notification each time the Elock’s condition changes, ensuring that all locking activities are tracked. This alert enables the  verification of security procedures being followed and the cargo remains protected throughout the journey.

Based On: When do you want this alert to be triggered;

  • On Job: When you select On job, the alert is only triggered when the cargo is on the job.
  • All Event: When you select All Event, the alert is also triggered when the trailer or cargo is not on the job.

Action

The selected notification or action must be configured (e.g., SMS, Email, or Notification).

  • SMS: Must be configured while creating an Admin, Reseller, or Company account. After setup, contact numbers can be added to receive alert notifications.
  • Email: Must be configured during account setup. Add email recipients to receive notifications through email.
  • In-App Notification: Choose the notification sound and specify users who should receive the alert notification within the platform.

When Based On: Object, Object Group, or Object Type

  • Object: Select individual vehicles or assets equipped with an Elock for which the alert should be applied.
  • Object Group: Select a group of Elock-equipped vehicles or assets; all within the group will be monitored for lock/unlock status changes.
  • Object Type: Select vehicle or asset types that support Elock status monitoring; all under that type will be available for configuration.
