# Elock State

The **ELock State** alert is used to indicate whether the vehicle is in a Running or Stop state, even though the e-lock does not have ignition input. The alert is triggered when the vehicle remains in either state for longer than the configured duration, helping fleet managers monitor vehicle status and identify unusual behavior or potential issues.

#### **Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)**

- **E-lock Configuration:** The E-lock needs to be configured in the system in order for this alert to function.

**Please Note:** To Configure E-lock go to Settings-\> General -\> Object/Vehicle.

**How to Configure**

1. Select the correct **Company** and **Branch** for whom the alert is to be configured.
2. **Based On:** Choose on what you want to base the alert configuration (Object, [Object Group](https://helpdesk.uffizio.com/knowledge/trakzee/add-object-group?hsLang=en), Object Type).
   
     1. **Object:** Select individual vehicles for whom you want the alert to generate.
     2. **Object Group:** Select a group of vehicles for whom you want the alert to generate.
     3. **Object Type:** Select vehicle or object type for whom you want the alert to generate.
3. Select the **Object** based on the previous step selection.
4. Set an **Alert Name** for identification of the alert.
5. Select the **Alert Type** as *Elock State.*
6. In **Value,** Enter the speed threshold (greater-than value). If the vehicle speed is greater than this value, it is considered Running.  
   ( if it is below the threshold it will be considered as *Stop. )*
7. In **Duration,** Enter the number of seconds the vehicle speed must in the configured **value** for the alert to be triggered.
8. n the **Text** field, enter the message that will be displayed when the alert is triggered.
9. Select the **Valid Days, Everyday or Custom.**  
     1. **Everyday:** This alert will be triggered, everyday in case of a violation in accordance to these parameters set.
     2. **Custom:** Mark the checkboxes of the days, when you want this alert to be triggered for. (eg., Sun, Mon and Sat)

10. Enter the **Valid Time From** and **To.** The alert will be generated inside the time range that you have selected.
11. Select the **Timezone**.
12. Select the **Severity** of the alert (**Low**, **Medium**, or **High**).
13. Mark the checkboxes of the medium via which you want the **Action or Notification** to be sent. (eg., **SMS, Email or Notification**)  
      1. **SMS**: To receive an alert by SMS, enable the checkbox, enter the phone numbers.
      2. **Email:** To receive an alert by Email, enable the checkbox, enter the recipients of the email.
      3. **Notification:** To receive an alert on the system Push Notification, enable checkbox. 
             1. From **Users,**  select the users that will receive the notification.
             2. From **Notification Sound**. Select the sound from the drop-down that will be played for this notification.
14. Click **Save 💾 icon.** to save the alert configuration.

**Please Note:** To Receive the alert on SMS & Email, the api should be configured either on Admin, Reseller or Company.

#### **Example**

If the **Value** is set to **10 km/h** and the **Duration** is set to **300 seconds**, the vehicle is considered **Running** when its speed remains **greater than 10 km/h** continuously for 300 seconds. Once this condition is met, the **E-Lock State alert** is triggered and a notification is sent to the fleet manager via SMS, Email, or In-App Notification.

This helps identify situations such as prolonged vehicle movement, delayed stops, or potential operational or security concerns.
