The BSD2 Level 2 alert is triggered when the vehicle’s Blind Spot Detection 2 (BSD2) system detects an object or vehicle in the blind spot at Level 2 sensitivity. This provides a higher warning compared to Level 1, enabling drivers and fleet managers to take timely preventive action to avoid potential collisions.
Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)
- Video Streaming Device or ADAS: To trigger this event, a video streaming device or ADAS must be configured.
- BSD Sensitivity: BSD2 Level 2 configured on selected ADAS channels to detect and record the event clip in the Camera tab while adding an object.
How to Configure
- Select the relevant Company and Branch.
- From the Alert Type dropdown, choose BSD2 Level 2.
- Enter an Alert Name as per your preference.
- Based On: Object, Object Group, or Object Type
- Enter a descriptive Text message (e.g., “Object detected in blind spot – BSD2 Level 2”).
- Configure Valid Days — choose Everyday or Custom, and specify the days if custom.
- Set Valid Time From / To to define when the alert should be active.
- Select the appropriate TimeZone.
- Set the Severity Level (Low, Medium, or High).
- Select preferred notification methods — SMS, Email, or In-App Notification.
- Click Save.
Use Case
A BSD2 Level 2 alert is triggered when an object or vehicle enters the blind spot at Level 2 sensitivity. Notifications are sent via SMS, Email, or In-App Notification, allowing fleet managers and drivers to respond promptly and reduce the risk of collisions.
When Based On: Object, Object Group, or Object Type
- Object: Select individual BSD2-equipped vehicles for which the alert should apply.
- Object Group: Select a group of BSD2-equipped vehicles; all vehicles in the group appear for further selection.
- Object Type: Select vehicle types equipped with BSD2; all vehicles under that type will be available for selection.
