BSD1 Level 3 Alert
Definition / Description
The BSD1 Level 3 alert is triggered when the vehicle’s Blind Spot Detection (BSD) system identifies an object or vehicle in the blind spot at Level 3 sensitivity. This is the highest detection level, providing the most urgent warning to drivers and fleet managers to prevent imminent collision risks during lane changes or merging.
Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)
- Video Stremaing Device or ADAS: To trigger this event, it is important for a video streaming device or an ADAS to be configured.
- In addition to that on the selected channels of ADAS, and BSD1 Level 2 to detect and record that clip in the Camera tab while adding an object.
How to Configure
- Select the relevant Company and Branch.
- From the Alert Type dropdown, choose BSD1 Level 3.
- Enter an Alert Name as per your preference.

Based On: Object, Object Group, or Object Type
- Enter a descriptive Text message (e.g., “Object detected in blind spot – Level 3”).
- Configure Valid Days — choose Everyday or Custom, and specify the days if custom.
- Set Valid Time From / To to define when the alert should be active.
- Select the appropriate TimeZone.
- Set the Severity Level (Low, Medium, or High).
- Select preferred notification methods — SMS, Email, or In-App Notification.
- Click Save.
Use Case
A BSD1 Level 3 alert is triggered when the system detects an object or vehicle entering the blind spot at Level 3 sensitivity, representing the highest risk level. Notifications are sent via SMS, Email, or In-App Notification, enabling the driver and fleet managers to take immediate action to prevent collisions and ensure maximum safety.
When Based On: Object, Object Group, or Object Type
- Object: Select individual vehicles equipped with BSD for which the alert should apply.
- Object Group: Select a group of BSD-equipped vehicles; all vehicles in the group will appear for further selection.
- Object Type: Select vehicle types equipped with BSD; all vehicles under that type will be available for selection.
