# ADAS Lane Departure Warning

 The **Lane Departure Warning** alert is used to notify users when the **Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS)** detects that the vehicle is departing from its designated lane. This alert helps fleet operators monitor unsafe lane-discipline events and improve driver safety by identifying instances of unintended lane departure.

#### **Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)**

- **Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS):** The selected vehicle must be equipped with a supported ADAS device or system.
- **Lane Detection:** The ADAS must support lane detection and lane departure monitoring.
- **Lane Departure Data:** The system must receive the corresponding **Lane Departure Warning** event from the connected ADAS device.

#### **How to Configure**

1. Select the correct **Company** and **Branch** for whom the alert is to be configured.
2. **Based On:** Choose what you want to base the alert configuration on (**Object, Object Group, Object Type**). 
     1. **Object:** Select individual vehicles/objects for whom you want the alert to generate.
     2. **Object Group:** Select a group of vehicles/objects for whom you want the alert to generate.
     3. **Object Type:** Select a vehicle or object type for whom you want the alert to generate.
3. Select the **Object** based on the previous step selection.
4. Set an **Alert Name** for identification of the alert.
5. Select the **Alert Type** as **Lane Departure Warning**.
6. Under **Value**, select the lane direction for which the alert should be generated: 
     1. **Left:** The alert will be triggered when the vehicle departs from the left lane boundary.
     2. **Right:** The alert will be triggered when the vehicle departs from the right lane boundary.
     3. **Both:** The alert will be triggered for departure from either the left or right lane boundary.
7. In the **Text** field, enter the message that will be displayed when the Lane Departure Warning alert is triggered.
8. Select the **Valid Day(s)** as **Everyday** or **Custom**. 
     1. **Everyday:** The alert will be triggered every day when a lane departure event is detected.
     2. **Custom:** Select the specific days on which you want this alert to be triggered.
9. Enter the **Valid Time From** and **To**. The alert will be generated only within the selected time range.
10. Select the required **Timezone**.
11. Select the **Severity** of the alert (**Low**, **Medium**, or **High**).
12. Under **Action**, select the medium through which the alert or notification should be sent (**SMS, Email, Notification, Social Media API, or IVR**). 
      1. **SMS:** To receive the alert by SMS, enable the checkbox and enter the required phone numbers.
      2. **Email:** To receive the alert by email, enable the checkbox and enter the email recipients.
      3. **Notification:** To receive the alert as a system push notification, enable the checkbox and select the users who should receive it.
      4. **Social Media API:** To receive the alert through WhatsApp or Telegram, enable the checkbox and configure the required gateway and recipient details.
      5. **IVR:** To receive the alert through an automated voice call, enable the checkbox and enter the required phone numbers.
13. Click the **Save 💾 icon** to save the alert configuration.

**Please Note:** To receive alerts through **SMS, Email, Social Media API, or IVR**, the respective API/gateway must be configured at the **Admin, Reseller, or Company** level.

#### **Example**

A vehicle equipped with **ADAS and lane detection** unintentionally crosses the left lane boundary. The ADAS detects the event and sends a **Lane Departure Warning** event to the platform. If the alert is configured for **Left** or **Both**, the alert is triggered and the selected users receive a notification, allowing the fleet operator to review the event and take appropriate action.
