ADAS Lane Departure Warning

 The Lane Departure Warning alert is used to notify users when the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) detects that the vehicle is departing from its designated lane. This alert helps fleet operators monitor unsafe lane-discipline events and improve driver safety by identifying instances of unintended lane departure.

Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)

  • Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS): The selected vehicle must be equipped with a supported ADAS device or system.
  • Lane Detection: The ADAS must support lane detection and lane departure monitoring.
  • Lane Departure Data: The system must receive the corresponding Lane Departure Warning event from the connected ADAS device.

How to Configure

  1. Select the correct Company and Branch for whom the alert is to be configured.
  2. Based On: Choose what you want to base the alert configuration on (Object, Object Group, Object Type).
    1. Object: Select individual vehicles/objects for whom you want the alert to generate.
    2. Object Group: Select a group of vehicles/objects for whom you want the alert to generate.
    3. Object Type: Select a vehicle or object type for whom you want the alert to generate.
  3. Select the Object based on the previous step selection.
  4. Set an Alert Name for identification of the alert.
  5. Select the Alert Type as Lane Departure Warning.
  6. Under Value, select the lane direction for which the alert should be generated:
    1. Left: The alert will be triggered when the vehicle departs from the left lane boundary.
    2. Right: The alert will be triggered when the vehicle departs from the right lane boundary.
    3. Both: The alert will be triggered for departure from either the left or right lane boundary.
  7. In the Text field, enter the message that will be displayed when the Lane Departure Warning alert is triggered.
  8. Select the Valid Day(s) as Everyday or Custom.
    1. Everyday: The alert will be triggered every day when a lane departure event is detected.
    2. Custom: Select the specific days on which you want this alert to be triggered.
  9. Enter the Valid Time From and To. The alert will be generated only within the selected time range.
  10. Select the required Timezone.
  11. Select the Severity of the alert (Low, Medium, or High).
  12. Under Action, select the medium through which the alert or notification should be sent (SMS, Email, Notification, Social Media API, or IVR).
    1. SMS: To receive the alert by SMS, enable the checkbox and enter the required phone numbers.
    2. Email: To receive the alert by email, enable the checkbox and enter the email recipients.
    3. Notification: To receive the alert as a system push notification, enable the checkbox and select the users who should receive it.
    4. Social Media API: To receive the alert through WhatsApp or Telegram, enable the checkbox and configure the required gateway and recipient details.
    5. IVR: To receive the alert through an automated voice call, enable the checkbox and enter the required phone numbers.
  13. Click the Save 💾 icon to save the alert configuration.

Please Note: To receive alerts through SMS, Email, Social Media API, or IVR, the respective API/gateway must be configured at the Admin, Reseller, or Company level.

Example

A vehicle equipped with ADAS and lane detection unintentionally crosses the left lane boundary. The ADAS detects the event and sends a Lane Departure Warning event to the platform. If the alert is configured for Left or Both, the alert is triggered and the selected users receive a notification, allowing the fleet operator to review the event and take appropriate action.
