ADAS Impact Alert

Definition / Description

The ADAS Impact Alert is triggered when the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) detects a sudden or significant impact on the vehicle, such as a collision or strong physical shock. This alert assists fleet managers and safety officers in identifying potential accident events or severe impacts, enabling them to take immediate action for driver safety checks, vehicle inspection, and incident reporting.

Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)

  • ADAS Device / Camera Installed:
An ADAS-enabled device or camera must be installed and configured on the object screen to monitor and detect impact or collision events in real-time.

How to Configure

  1. Select the Company and Branch for which you want to set up the alert.
  2. Choose the configuration base: Object, Object Group, or Object Type.
  3. Enter an Alert Name (e.g., “ADAS Impact Detected”).

  5. In the Text field, enter a descriptive message (e.g., “Impact detected by ADAS — immediate attention required”).
  6. Configure Valid Days.
    • Everyday – applies daily.
    • Custom – choose specific days (e.g., Mon–Fri).
  7. Set the Valid Time From / To (e.g., 00:00 to 23:59).

Example / Use Case

An ADAS Impact Alert is triggered when the system detects a strong collision or impact event while the vehicle is in motion. Upon detection, a notification is immediately sent to the fleet manager via SMS, Email, or In-App notification based on the configured settings. This prompt alert enables the fleet manager to contact the driver, verify safety conditions, and initiate necessary emergency or maintenance procedures to minimize downtime and ensure operational safety.

When Based On: Object, Object Group, or Object Type

  • Object Group: Apply the alert to a group of vehicles with ADAS impact detection enabled.
  • Object Type: Apply the alert to a specific vehicle type (e.g., trucks, buses) that are equipped with ADAS systems.
