Definition / Description
The Abnormal Flameout Warning (ADAS) alert is triggered when an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) detects an unexpected engine shutdown or flameout. This alert helps fleet managers and operators identify abnormal engine behavior while the vehicle is in operation, enhancing safety, preventing downtime, and allowing immediate investigation into potential mechanical or fuel system issues.
Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)
- Video Stremaing Device or ADAS: To trigger this event, it is important for a video streaming device or an ADAS to be configured.
- In addition to that on the selected channels of ADAS, and Abnormal Flameout Warning to detect and record that clip in the Camera tab while adding an object.
How to Configure
- Select the relevant Company and Branch.
- From the Alert Type dropdown, choose Abnormal Flameout Warning (ADAS).
- Enter an Alert Name as per your preference.
- Configure the detection criteria in the ADAS system (e.g., sudden engine stop while driving).
- Enter a descriptive Text message (e.g., “Abnormal engine flameout detected by ADAS”).
- Configure Valid Days — choose Everyday or Custom, and specify the days if custom.
- Set Valid Time From / To to define when the alert is active.
- Select the appropriate TimeZone.
- Set the Severity Level (Low, Medium, or High).
- Select preferred notification methods — SMS, Email, or In-App Notification.
- Click Save.
Use Case
An Abnormal Flameout Warning (ADAS) alert is triggered when the ADAS system detects an unexpected engine shutdown while the vehicle is operating. Notifications are sent via SMS, Email, or In-App Notification, allowing fleet managers or operators to respond immediately, investigate the cause, and ensure vehicle safety and continuity of operations.
When Based On: Object, Object Group, or Object Type
- Object: Select individual vehicles equipped with ADAS for which the alert should apply.
- Object Group: Select a group of ADAS-enabled vehicles; all vehicles in the group will appear for further selection.
- Object Type: Select a vehicle type with ADAS; all vehicles under that type will be available for selection.
