Passenger Seat

Definition / Description

The Passenger Seat alert is triggered when the digital port configured with a passenger seat sensor detects a change in seat occupancy. This helps monitor if someone is seated or not, ensuring safety compliance, monitoring unauthorized passengers, and maintaining accurate trip records.

Example / Use Case

The Passenger Seat alert is triggered when the sensor detects that the passenger seat has become occupied or vacant, depending on the chosen configuration. For instance, during a trip, if the seat sensor registers unexpected occupancy, a notification is sent to the fleet manager through SMS, Email, or In-App Notification. This helps ensure only authorized personnel are present in the vehicle and supports monitoring for compliance and safety.

Value: On, Off or Both

  • When you select ON, the alert will be triggered only when the Passenger Seat is Occupied.
  • When you select OFF, the alert will be triggered only when the Passenger Seat is Vacant,
  • When you select BOTH, the alert will be triggered when the Passenger Seat is Occupied and Vacant.

When Based On: Object, Object Group or Object Type

  • When you select Object only a dropdown with all the objects will appear. You can select specific vehicles if you want to create the alert specifically for them.
