ADAS Headway Monitor Warning
Definition / Description
The ADAS Headway Monitor Warning alert is triggered when the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) detects that the object is too close to the vehicle in front, based on the set headway distance or safe following distance.
This alert helps in preventing rear-end collisions by maintaining a safe distance between objects, improving road safety and driving discipline.
Parameters Considered (Prerequisites)
ADAS Device / Camera Installed:
An ADAS-enabled device or camera must be installed and properly configured on the object screen to monitor forward distance and obstacles.
How to Configure
- Select the Company and Branch where the alert needs to be configured.
- Choose the configuration base: Object, Object Group, or Object Type.
- Enter the Alert Name (e.g., ADAS Headway Warning).
- Select Alert Type: ADAS Headway Monitor Warning.
- In the Text field, enter the alert message (e.g., Unsafe Following Distance Detected).
- Choose Valid Days:
- Everyday – applies all days.

- Custom – select specific days (e.g., Mon–Fri).
- Enter Valid Time From and To (e.g., 08:00 to 20:00).
- Select the Timezone.
- Choose Severity: Low, Medium, or High.
- Select Action Type: SMS, Email or In-App.
- Click Save to finalize the configuration.
Example / Use Case
If the ADAS detects that the object is following another vehicle too closely (less than the configured safe distance), an ADAS Headway Monitor Warning is triggered.
The configured recipients are notified via SMS, Email, or App Notification, allowing immediate driver correction and preventing potential rear-end collisions.
SMS: To receive an alert by SMS, enable the checkbox, enter the phone numbers and it is supposed to be configured when creating a reseller account, a company account or an admin account.
Email: To receive an alert by Email, enable the checkbox, enter the recipients of the email, and it is supposed to be configured when creating a reseller account, a company account or an admin account and verified while configuring the Alert.
In-App: Enable the checkbox and you’ll receive notifications according to the Severity Set i.e Low, Medium or High.
When Based On: Object, Object Group, or Object Type
- Object: Select individual vehicles for whom you want the alert to be applied equipped with ADAS features.
- Object Group: Select a group of vehicles for whom you want the alert to be applied equipped with ADAS features.
- Object Type: Select vehicle or object type for whom you want the alert to be applied equipped with ADAS features.
