This location serves as a reference point for various functionalities, including: - **Monitoring Movement:** Track vehicle departures and arrivals relative to the base location. - **Performance Metrics:** Measure critical metrics such as the distance traveled from the base and time spent at the base location. - **Geofence Integration:** Set up geofences around the base location to streamline trip creation and monitoring while activating alerts or notifications for specific events. This feature helps streamline operations, enhance monitoring, and improve overall fleet management. **Please Note:** Base Location Configuration is available only with the Premium version of the platform. ### Before You Get Started Create the geofence for each base location to enable efficient trip creation utilizing those designated geofences. Learn how to create **[Geofence](https://helpdesk.uffizio.com/knowledge/add-geofence?hsLang=en)**. ### To Get Started - Log in to your account. - Go to **Settings \> Master \> Base Location Configuration.** Upon clicking on **Base Location Configuration,** you will be directed to the **Base Location Configuration Overview** page, where you can have a look at all the records. - Click on the ➕ button on the taskbar. ![](https://helpdesk.uffizio.com/hubfs/blc-1%20(1)-png.png) - Select the **Company** and **Branch** from the drop-down list. - **Consider:** Select the appropriate option from the categories of Object, Object Type, or Object Group to add the desired object to the object list. - According to your selection, the relevant objects will be displayed in the drop-down list.
