A Collector is a field staff member responsible for gathering waste from assigned collection addresses — including residential, commercial, and institutional locations — within a designated Ward or Zone.
Purpose:
- To ensure timely and efficient waste collection as per the scheduled routes.
- To maintain cleanliness and hygiene in assigned areas by following proper collection procedures.
- To record collection activities through the Waste Collector Application for transparent tracking and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Visit each assigned collection address and collect waste as per the route plan.
- Update collection status in the application (collected, skipped, or pending).
- Coordinate with helpers and supervisors for smooth operations.
- Report issues or incidents such as overflowing bins, inaccessible areas, or equipment problems.
- Follow safety and hygiene protocols during waste handling.
To Get Started
- Log in to your account.
- Go to setting>General>Collector
Upon clicking on the Collector, you will be directed to the Collector Overview page, where you can easily view and manage all collector records.
To add Collector Individually
- Click on the ➕ button on the taskbar
Navigate to General
- From the drop-down menus, select the Company, and Branch under which you want to add the collector.
- From the drop-down menus, select the Town under which this collector is allocated.
- Please input the collector’s First Name, Last Name, and, if applicable, the Employee Number into the designated fields provided.
- Provide the Mobile Number of the collector
- Provide the Emergency Number of the collector
- Select the Gender of the collector
- Authentication via:
- Password: Enter the Password for the login credentials and confirm it by retyping the password in the Retype Password field.
- OTP: Provide the mobile number where you would like to receive the OTP.
- Provide the email address of the collector
- Enter the joining date of the collector
- Provide the Country and detailed Address information for the collector, including City, Zip Code, and Street.
- Choose the Timezone according to the collector location. Based on the Timezone selection, the analytics will appear in the application.
- After/Before Picture Upload :When this option is enabled, the collector must upload before and after images of the waste collection site while performing the task.This ensures visual proof of collection, helping supervisors verify the quality and completion of the work.
- Mandatory Vehicle Inspection : Upon selection, the collector is required to complete a vehicle inspection checklist before or after the trip (Pre-Trip or Post-Trip).This process helps ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition and meet safety and operational standards.
- Bin Management : When enabled, the collector gains access to add or create new collection addresses and manage bins directly from the mobile application.This allows for quick updates in the field, ensuring that all bins and locations are accurately recorded in the system.
- Unplanned Checkpoint Visit : By selecting this option, the collector can create an independent collection task for a checkpoint that is not part of the predefined route or job.This feature allows flexibility for unplanned or emergency waste pickups, ensuring no point is left unattended.
- Select the wage group to which this collector will be belong to from the dropdown.
- Provide the validity from which the wage is valid.
Navigate to Additional Information
- The user can also mention the given details of the collector
- Click on the Save 💾 icon to save the collector configuration.
To Upload Multiple Records
- To initiate the bulk upload process, kindly click on the upload button located on the taskbar. This action will open a new window designed for driver bulk uploads.Upload driver records.
- From the drop-down menus, select the Company, and Branch under which you want to add the collector.
- Select the Town from the dropdown for which the collectors are added.
- Download the provided sample file from the given link. This file contains essential information regarding the driver, including the driver's name, contact number, state, city, and tag details. Fill in the appropriate information in the file according to your requirement.
- Upload the XLS file from Upload File option.
- Click on the Save 💾 icon.
