Reseller
The Reseller module in the Startup Application serves as a key link between the Admin and end-user companies. It enables a multi-level business model where resellers can independently manage their clients, configure services, and monitor performance — while still operating under the primary Admin’s ecosystem.
To get started
- Log in to your admin account.
- Go to Configuration→Reseller Entity Overview.
To add a New reseller
- Click on the ➕ icon on the taskbar below.
To Create the Reseller account
- Reseller Company*
- Enter the official name of the reseller company.
- This will be used for identification across the system.
- Reseller Name*
- Provide the display name or short name of the reseller.
- Usually used in dashboards and reports.
- Street 1 / Street 2
- Fill in the primary and secondary address details for the reseller’s office or headquarters.
- Street 2 is optional.
- City
- Enter the city where the reseller is located.
- Zip-Code
- Add the valid postal or zip code for the reseller’s address.
- Country*
- Select the country from the dropdown list.
- This is a mandatory field.
- State*
- Choose the appropriate state or province for the reseller’s location.
- Internet Address
- Enter the reseller’s official website URL (if available).
- Contact Person*
- Provide the full name of the main contact person or account manager for the reseller.
- Add the primary email ID for official communication with the reseller.
- Telephone Number*
- Enter a valid contact number for phone communication.
- WhatsApp Number
- Add the WhatsApp number if the reseller prefers chat-based support or communication.
- Help Desk Email
- Provide the email ID used by the reseller for customer support or service-related queries.
- Technical Contact
- Mention the name or contact details of the technical representative responsible for integration or support.
- Sales Contact
- Add the name or contact details of the sales representative for coordination related to business or lead management.

- Fax Number
- Enter the reseller’s official fax number (if applicable).
- Optional field for documentation or contact reference.
- Hide License Expiry Message
- Tick this checkbox if you want to hide license expiry notifications from the reseller or its users.
- Useful when managing renewals internally.
- Installation Date Mandatory
- Enable this option if you want to make the installation date a required field during device or vehicle setup.
- Vehicle Expiry Mandatory
- Check this box if every vehicle must have an expiry date entered (for insurance, permits, or contracts).
- Show Country Border
- Enable this option (✔) to display country borders on the map view for better regional tracking visualization.
- Disputed Region
- Select the relevant region or country from the dropdown (e.g., India).
- Helps in setting map boundaries or location display rules.
- Themes*
- Choose the appropriate theme layout for the reseller’s platform interface (e.g., Startup).
- This controls how the portal UI appears for that reseller’s users.
- GPS Model*
- Select one or more GPS device models supported by the reseller.
- Multiple selections can be made by holding Ctrl (or Cmd on Mac).
- Examples: 2G Camera, 2G ID Card, 2G-4G Camera, etc.
- Alert*
- Choose the alert types that the reseller can access.
- Examples: 911, Abnormal Flameout Warning, Address Overstay, Air Condition, etc.
- Use multi-select if more than one alert is required.
- Welcome Message
- Add a short greeting or welcome message that will be displayed to the reseller or its users upon login.
- Example: “Welcome to Startup Tracking Portal – Empowering Smarter Mobility!”
- SOS Mobile No
- Enter one or more emergency contact numbers separated by commas (,).
- These numbers will receive SOS alerts or emergency notifications.
- Show Support Detail
- Enable this checkbox to display support details (help desk, contact info, etc.) within the reseller’s user interface.
- Recommended for improved client accessibility.

To upload reseller Logo
- Locate the “Image” or “Logo Upload” Section
- Find the Image field (with a small file or settings icon beside it) on the reseller creation or edit page.

- Click on “Choose File”
- A file selection window will open.
- Browse your system and select the logo image you want to upload.
- Supported formats: .jpg, .jpeg, .png (Recommended size: under 1 MB).
- Preview the Image
- Once the file is selected, a preview of the logo will appear in the center of the upload box.
- Verify that the logo is clear and properly visible.
- Save the Image
- Click on the Save icon (💾) at the bottom of the window to confirm the upload.
- The uploaded logo will be stored and linked to the reseller’s profile.
- Optional Actions:
- Undo (↩️) – Revert the last action or restore the previous image.
- Delete (🗑️) – Remove the current image if uploaded by mistake.
- Refresh (🔄) – Reload the upload window or reset the selection process.
- Confirm Upload
- Once saved, close the popup window.
- The selected logo will now appear on the main reseller creation/edit screen under the “Image” field.

Map configuration under Reseller
- Click on the “+” (Add) icon
- This will allow you to add a new map configuration entry for the reseller.
- A new row or popup will appear to enter the map details.
- Map*
- Select the map type you wish to configure (e.g., Google Map, OpenStreetMap, Here Map, MapMyIndia, etc.).
- This defines the base map that will be used for tracking and visualization.
- Web Map Key*
- Enter the API key generated from your map provider for web platform usage.
- This key enables map functionality on the reseller’s web portal.
- Example: a Google Maps API key or Here Maps key.
- Mobile Map Key
- Enter the API key for the mobile application (Android/iOS).
- Ensures proper map loading and navigation on the reseller’s mobile app.
- Map Project ID
- If your map provider (like Google Cloud) requires a Project ID, enter it here.
- This helps track and manage API usage under the correct project.
- Address From Map Provider
- Select or enable this option if you want to fetch address details (reverse geocoding) directly from the selected map provider.
- This ensures accuracy in displaying live vehicle or job locations.
- Speed Limit API
- Enter or enable the Speed Limit API key (if supported by your map provider).
- This allows the system to display and monitor speed limit data along routes.
- Default
- Check this option if you want this map setup to be the default map configuration for the reseller.
- This means all dashboards and tracking views will use this map by default.
