The Smart Trip app is a convenient way to bind employees with a vehicle for a specific task. Through the app, engineers can locate nearby vehicles and contact the driver as needed. The engineers can also view the number of people in the nearby vehicles. The engineer can start a trip by scanning the QR code of the vehicle. This feature can be particularly useful for businesses that need to manage multiple vehicles and ensure that they are being used efficiently.
To get started
- Login to your account
- Go to Settings > General > Company
- The page you land on is the Company overview page where you can have a look at all your company records.
- You can either add a new company or edit an existing company details to configure Smart Trip Category.
Navigate to Smart Trip Category

- Click on the Add New + button to add a new task category.
- Enter the Task Category Name and the Description of the task.
- Click on the Save 💾 icon to save the setting.
Setting Driver as Engineer
The user needs to add a driver. To learn the configuration of driver, click here.
Please Note:
- You need to set the Employee Designation as Engineer for creating the login credentials of Smart Trip Category.
- Select Engineer as user to create the login credentials of the employee.
Navigate to User Settings tab

- Enter the required details.
- For the Mobile Unique Identification No, field, consider the following steps.
Download the Smart Trip mobile app:

- Open the application and click on Generate unique-id as highlighted in the below given image.
- A Unique Id will appear on the screen. Copy this id and paste it in the Mobile Unique Identification No, field.
- Click on the save 💾 icon.
- Open the application and click on Generate unique-id as highlighted in the below given image.

Reports
The software offers reports that provide information about employees' trips.
To access these reports, go to Reports > Employee > Object Wise Report/Employee Wise Report.
The Object Wise Report provides information about trips based on each object used.
The Employee Wise Report provides details about trips taken by individual employees.
These reports allow users to review all trips, helping monitor if vehicles are being utilised as intended.
