Setup Social Media API for a company account

Social Media API (Application Programming Interface) is integrated in the software so that the user can receive alerts, reports, or announcements via the set social media platform.

Reseller can inherit the Social Media API configuration from the Admin.

A Company can inherit the Social Media API configurations from the Reseller. If in any case the Reseller has not configured API on his end, then the Company can inherit the same from the Admin.

Before Getting Started

Please Note:

  • We have already integrated Telegram and WhatsApp into our application.
  • You can get the bot token from telegram and make use of this API.
  • If you wish to use any other social media platform then we can surely do that for you. Contact Us.

To Get Started

  • Login to your admin account.
  • Go to  Settings > General > Company.
  • Double-click on the account for which you want to set up social media API for.
  • Navigate to the Social Media API tab.

To Configure Social Media API

    • Select the Gateway from the dropdown list. We have already integrated Telegram and WhatsApp in our application.
    • In the field Type if user wants to inherit the API from the admin/reseller account then select Inherit from the dropdown list.
      • If user wants to add a different API then select Custom from the dropdown.
    • Enter the Token provided by telegram in the Bot HTTP Token field.
    • As per requirements, user can click on the checkbox of Alert, Scheduled Reports, and Announcement to receive the same via telegram.

  • Click on the Save 💾 icon.

The alerts, scheduled reports, or announcements will then be received by the user whose contact details have been provided.
